2010 Fly-in is just around the corner!
April 10th thru 13th 2010 Florida’s Best Fly-in is always at Baker Aviation Another year is in the history books and it has been a challenge for most of us. Much of our fleet is still in limbo with upcoming repairs and many are unsure about the flying future in 2010. With all of this weighing us down, it’s time for a pick-me-up. It's time for fun. It's time for flying. It's time for the 2010 George Baker Aviation Fly-in and Formation Clinic in sunny Florida. George and Ginny Baker and all of the maintenance crew are encouraging you to save the date and join us for another April formation clinic. Like always, our fly-in will be the weekend preceding Sun-N-Fun. Arrivals will begin Friday April 9th and continue all weekend. Scheduled flying sorties will be Saturday (10th), Sunday (11th), and Monday (12th) with a mass fly-out to Sun-N-Fun on Tuesday (13st) morning. Due to the shortcomings of our current economy, the itinerary has had to change to adapt. In an effort to keep the Fly-in going, this year we are asking for participants to contribute $100 (per airplane) to help pay for the expense of the event. We will also be asking for donations and help from our local EAA chapter and again from the great folks at Air Capital insurance. Breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks will again be included as well as goodie bags for all who join us. Nightly dinner will be left up to the individual parties; however, we would like to have a group farewell dinner Monday night to say farewell and reflect on the weekend of flying. We at George Baker Aviation feel compelled to continue this event in an effort to promote camaraderie in our T-34 family and to help the T-34 regain the respect and admiration it once had. We have felt our belts tighten over the past year as many of you have, but we are not willing to lose the wonderful Baker Fly-in. Join us for good weather and great flying in April.
