Pre-Purchase Inspections

We offer a very thorough pre-buy, incorporating many aspects of our detailed Annual Inspection. Your report will be an easy to read overview of the quality and possible trouble spots associated with the aircraft. A pre-buy inspection is the best investment you can make before taking the plunge, so have a company with years of experience help you make your final decision.

Annual Inspections

Baker Aviation offers annual inspections for all light aircraft, specializing in all models of Bonanza, Baron, T-34 Mentor, CJ, and Yak aircraft. Our technicians will give your aircraft the care it has always needed. We have two Authorized Inspectors on site with years of experience on many aircraft makes and models.

- Our annuals meet and exceed the requirements set forth by FAR 43 Appendix D.

- You can trust that your aircraft will be as safe as possible for your upcoming journey.

Weight & Balance

We weigh your aircraft on certified scales, then enter scale weights and other aircraft specific information into a Microsoft Excel program. This program calculates the Empty Weight CG, Extreme Forward CG, and Extreme Rearward CG. All activities are performed by certified mechanics and supervised by one of our in house I.A.'s. Results are given to you as a user friendly print-out signed and dated by our staff in about 2 hours.

Corrosion Control of Magnesium Control Surfaces

At Baker Aviation, we have had many opportunities to strip & treat corrosion on Beechcraft magnesium skinned surfaces. Our completed cleaning, chemical treatment, immediate priming and painting will insure that your control surfaces will last for years to come. If your magnesium surfaces are beginning to show "worm-like" trails under the paint, bring them in and let our trained staff have a closer look at them.

Full Paint Shop

As of January 2007, we installed a Global Finishing System / JBI 14 by 28 foot professional downdraft spray booth. We are more than happy to provide estimates on complete aircraft painting and specialize in the ex-military schemes of the T-34, Yak, and CJ's.

Dynamic Propeller Balancing

Recently we purchased equipment from Dynamic Solution Systems and have received training in the science and art of dynamic propeller balancing and aircraft vibration analysis. This process removes stress from the propeller, engine, airframe, and pilot. Less stress and vibration translates into less wear and longer component life. We offer balance services for any aircraft and specialize in balancing the tricky spinner-less metal bladed props and wood laminate paddle blade props of Yaks and CJ's. Come in and give us a chance to evaluate you aircraft and you will be delighted to find out what a smooth flight feels like. The vibration evaluation is free and the final balance cost is $200.
