 T-34 Mentor Wing Spar & Carry Through Airworthiness Directives

If you are a T-34 owner, you are probably well aware of AD 2001-13-18 R1 and AD 2004-25-51.  These airworthiness directives mandate very specialized eddy current inspections of the wing spars, wing attach fittings, carry-thru section fasteners, and horizontal stabilizer spars. This process can be very expensive if not performed by properly trained inspectors and maintenance facilities. At Baker Aviation, we install the T-34 Spar Corporation Alternate Method Of AD Compliance (AMOC-1).  This is commonly referred to as the

 "doubler plate" fix.  This AMOC eliminatesthe continued eddy current inspections of the main wing spar.

  

Additionally, with the help of Nogle and Black Aviation, we also perform the N&B "common spar" installation.  This method of compliance to AD 2001-13-18 R1 replaces the original T-34 spar with a brand new "solid webbed" spar from Raytheon.

 

As per AD 2004-25-51, Baker Aviation can also complete your Carry-Thru Section and Horizontal Stabilizer Spar primary and recurring inspections as soon as your airplane my need it.  We are an authorized installation facility for the upcoming GAMI Airframe Life Extension Cable also known as ALEC.  Call to schedule your airplane to be AD free today.
